Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Bordmappe ("the Service"), operated by Archway Ventures LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

The service

Bordmappe is a digital service history platform for enthusiast cars. Users can pin cars, claim ownership of cars they own, upload service records and photos, and view a VIN-linked timeline of the car's life.

Your account

You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it. You must provide accurate information when signing up. You must be the person you claim to be.

Claiming a car

To be marked as a car's verified owner, you must submit evidence of ownership (photo with VIN, title, registration, or similar). We review each claim by hand. We may approve, reject, or later revoke verification if we believe a claim is inaccurate or contested. Being the verified owner grants certain editing abilities over the car's page but does not grant exclusive rights to the public record of the car's history.

Your content

You retain ownership of the documents and photos you upload. You grant Bordmappe a license to store, process, and display that content as part of the Service, including running AI extraction on documents to build a structured timeline. You represent that you have the right to share what you upload.

Data and the VIN

A car's service history is tied to the VIN, not to any single person. When a car is sold, ownership verification transfers but the record of the vehicle remains. You can remove your account and the documents you personally contributed at any time; ownership history events may remain as part of the car's record.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to upload content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or that infringes on the rights of others, and not to impersonate another car's owner. We reserve the right to decline, remove, or redact content that violates this policy.

Fees

Bordmappe is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, we'll give you advance notice and won't change the terms of any data you've already uploaded.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Bordmappe is not a title, authentication, or appraisal service; information on the site should not be treated as legally binding provenance.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
