Brake bled, suspension lubed, switch disconnected
Tillman's bled the brake system and disconnected the master cylinder switch. They also tightened and lubed the noisy front torsion bar bushings.
Engine out for major transmission leak repair
Tillman's removed the engine to replace the transmission release guide, rear main seal, and input shaft seal, fixing a major transmission leak. They also changed the oil and filter, and serviced the transmission fluid.
Right window switch, door bracket repair
Duffys Classic Cars replaced the right passenger window switch, door pocket mount, and latch clip. Bulk fuel lines were also purchased.
Fresh battery, 3 miles
Duffy's Classic Cars installed a new battery.
New airbox, fuel filter, and seals
Airbox, air filter, and all intake seals replaced. New fuel filter and distributor seal installed.
New engine breather and intake gaskets
New breather hose and intake manifold gasket acquired from Pelican Parts. These are critical engine seals, prone to failure on air-cooled cars.
Pinched fuel line fixed, full fluid service
Avant-Garde Collection changed the oil, air filter, and brake fluid. They diagnosed low fuel pressure and replaced a pinched fuel line, then rerouted it.
Staggered Pirelli tires fitted
Avant-Garde Collection fitted new Pirelli 185/70R15 front and 215/60R15 rear tires. This confirms a staggered setup.
